Job Description:
The Singers Of United Lands Tour Manager (TM) will oversee the daily operations and activities of a four-person touring singing group called Singers Of United Lands (S.O.U.L.). The TM will:
1 Communicate updated daily itinerary to the S.O.U.L. Team
2 Drive a minivan (or similar vehicle) to all touring locations throughout tour
3 Do anything they can to help the S.O.U.L. singers do their jobs well
4 Collect payments from Singers Of United Lands clients
5 Communicate regularly with the Singers Of United Lands main office
6 Arrange and confirm host families or other daily overnight accommodations
7 Work with different hosts each day to develop successful programming
8 Make responsible decisions of daily S.O.U.L. activities
9 Contact main office any time problems arise
10 Mediate any concerns of the S.O.U.L. singers and management
11 Oversee all public relations and marketing activities (Product Sales)
Organization:
Singers Of United Lands is a non-profit organization based in Dearborn, Michigan. Since 2002, S.O.U.L. has been organizing a quartet of international singers to tour throughout the U.S.A. for several months each year. The S.O.U.L. Team (four singers and one tour manager) visits schools and communities to share languages, cultures, and songs from the four singers’ different countries.
The S.O.U.L. Team travels almost every day to a new town to share its interactive programming with students of all ages (K-12 and college/universities). All members of the S.O.U.L. Team, including the Tour Manager, stay with host families in each town that they visit. A volunteer Board of Directors oversees the development of the organization.
Stipend:
All necessary expenses are covered throughout the tour including meals, lodging, and transportation. The TM will have any business expenses paid for with a business credit card bearing the TM’s name and the organization’s name, “Singers Of United Lands”.
This position is ideal for a university-level or post-graduate internship. Tuition reimbursement for internship credit is provided. Or, if the selected candidate is not seeking this position for internship credit, then a stipend equal to the amount of the cost of internship credit will be offered. A negotiable additional stipend may be available to applicants with appropriate experience.

Hours:
Hours will vary from day to day—average of 40 "work" hours per week. Nights and weekends are often required. This position requires a "24/7" commitment of being on the road.
